Pear & Plum

Ingredients

  • 2 plums
  • 1 pear

Serves

Approx 6 portions

Method

  1. Peel the plums, remove stone and cut into halves and peel pear, cored and cut into quarters.
  2. Place the plum and pear in a steamer and cook for about 5 minutes or until tinder.
  3. Purée the fruit, then add a little of the boiled water or your little one’s usual milk and mix together until smooth.

Butternut Squash & Pear

Ingredients

  • 1 medium butternut squash
  • 1 ripe pear

Serves

Approx 5 portions

Method

  1. Peel the butternut squash, slice in half, remove the seeds and chop into pieces.
  2. Steam for about 12 minutes.
  3. Peel, core and chop the pear; add to the steamer and continue to cook for 5 minutes or until the squash is tender.
  4. Puree in a blender.

Apple, Pear, Banana

Ingredients

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 Pear
  • 1 Apple
  • 2 tbsp of your little one’s usual milk

Serves

Approx 6 portions

Method

  1. Peel and core the apple and pear
  2. Dice the pear and apple and put into a saucepan with just enough water to cover the fruit.
  3. Cook over a gentle heat for about 8 – 10 minutes until softened.
  4. Pour into a food processor and add the banana and milk, purée until smooth.

Apple, Pear & Cinnamon Purée

Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 2 ripe pears
  • 1 Apple
  • 4 tbsp pure unsweetened apple juice or water
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)

Serves

Approx 6 portions

Method

  1. Peel the fruit
  2. Place the fruit in a saucepan with apple juice or water and pinch of cinnamon (if using)
  3. Cover and cook over a low heat for about 6 to 8 minutes until fruit is tender.
  4. Blend the fruit to a smooth puree.
